From the front page of this weeks Sylva Herald and Ruralite:
Wiley Henson of Caney Fork, above, experimented this year with growing sweet potatoes in a 12-gallon bucket. He started with one orange and one white sweet potato, which yielded five plants – three white and two orange. He then planted all five in the same bucket and kept it watered and fertilized (with slow-release 14-7-7). He harvested his bucket on Nov. 15 and was rewarded with 26 pounds of sweet potatoes.
