Tincture of Lawlessness

The Obama administration’s agenda of maximizing dependency involves political favoritism cloaked in the raiment of “economic planning” and “social justice” that somehow produce results superior to what markets produce when freedom allows merit to manifest itself, and incompetence to fail. The administration’s central activity — the political allocation of wealth and opportunity — is not merely susceptible to corruption, it is corruption.

Instapundit and I Agree with 0bama

President Barack Obama, calling current deficit spending “unsustainable,” warned of skyrocketing interest rates for consumers if the U.S. continues to finance government by borrowing from other countries.

No shit, Sherlock

Eco Art Video

Click here for WLOS 13’s video.  They missed the opening, but late is better than not at all I guess.  You can see a good shot of “To Serve Man” about halfway through.

A budget with no shortage of lies

It’s nothing new for presidents to give us bloated budgets with phony promises of belt-tightening at the end of the day. But never, ever, in the history of the republic has there been so irresponsibly gargantuan a budget defended by rhetoric so duplicitous as we are now seeing from President Barack Obama.

Fried Chicken: A Love Story

I’ve been cooking as a professional for a little over 15 years, but my passion actually started when I wasn’t tall enough to reach the counter in my grandmother’s country kitchen. I called her Meme and she was the light of my life.

To Serve Man

To Serve Man

The first three are all old railroad spikes. “To Serve Man” (Twighlight Zone fans will get it) is scrap expanded metal left over from the workbenches at the Green Energy Park, scrap rebar, old bicycle chains, and the ‘binding’ on the placemat is leftover cutoffs from a recent job.  The ‘not a knife’ is not a knife because it’s mild steel and not hardened.  It’d make a damn cool letter opener though.  My apologies to Monsieur Magritte for borrowing and modifying his line about the pipe.
