Tax Day Tea Party, Asheville, NC

041

A good sized crowd was already on hand at 4:30.  Lots of supportive horn honking too.

005

The speakers were on the steps of the Buncombe County Courthouse.  Note to organizers: Get a PA system with more than 20 watts next time.

008

Indeed.

013

Asheville’s finest relaxing.  I bet they loved this demonstration compared to the lefty variety.  Everyone was calm and civil.  Passionate, but civil.

014

021

I estimate the crowd was about 1,000 strong.

026

Heh.

027

Yeah!

028

Ages ranged from infant to granny and grandpa.

030

It’s Asheville, even the fiscal conservatives dress funny.

032

Poor kid.

034

The cops had to get a car out.  The crowd calmly parted to let them through.  No spitting, screaming, or banging.

035

Did I mention this is in Asheville?  Dig the high heeled sneakers!

036

Saw only one “Impeach 0bama” sign.

039

My favorite sign was made by a teenager “I CAN’T AFFORD POSTER BOARD”.

  1. So glad you were there! Great photos! I’ll be linking to your site.
See you in July – with a more powerful sound system for an even bigger crowd.

  2. El Marco Tea Party photo essay

“Evil Right Wing Extremists Who Would Destroy America Gather in Denver”

Text from James Delingpole, Telegraph, U.K.

James Delingpole has written a spot-on critique of the DHS/Office of Intelligence and Analysis report
“Rightwing Extremism: Current Economic and Political Climate Fueling Resurgence in Radicalization and Recruitment”.
Delingpole’s cutting article combines with El Marco’s photos to illustrate the Obama administrations folly.

Great photos. Pretty good turnout in Asheville.

Moonbattery is assembling photos from all over the place including my Harrisburg ones.

Looks like they had about 7,000 in Madison, WI of all places.

Yeah, considering the heavy left lean of Ashville the turnout was great.

    Latest estimates are 1,800 protestors.

WNC, I am proud of you. I would have been there too, if I had not had to work and could not get off. 1,000 attendees is very impressive for the “Socialist Republic of North Carolina.” Please contact me for all future activities protesting Obamanation..
